George Marshall Medical Museum

The George Marshall Medical Museum can be found in the education centre at Worcestershire Royal Hospital. We have objects on display to show how medicine and health care has developed over the last 300 years. Visitors to the museum can see our reconstructed apothecary shop and operating theatre, or listen to our audio guide and oral history display. We also have a touch screen computer and of course, the death masks. The curator runs several school workshops and details of these can be found on our website at: http://www.medicalmuseum.org.uk/schools.html

Our new website www.medicalmuseum.org.uk has two games to play and an interactive timeline to show you some of our curator’s favourite objects. You can diagnose and try to cure five Victorian children, or cut off a leg in our operation game!

Worcestershire and Herefordshire Youth Offending Service

WHYOS is a partnership between Children’s Services, Probation, Health, Police and the Voluntary Sector which aims to reduce offending and re-offending by children and young people between the ages of 10 and 17. WHYOS supervises and run programmes for young people on court orders or who have received official warnings from the police.

YISP is a sister organisation to YOS which seeks to divert young people between 8 and 17 years of age who are at risk of offending.
